anybody have solutions?
Well, if you can find a car that doesn't have some issue like this, by all means buy it. At least Infiniti has made an effort to deal with the potential problem. And, the squealing brakes, don't have that problem with my '05, so that has been addressed as well. Rattles, minor, have nothing to do with the "long-term" reliability of the car. I had a Mustang GT vert, and a part on the top was rusting, and when I showed it to the dealer, they laughed, said it had to be on the body of the car, IMO, Infiniti is above that!

No doubt.............You should see the problem list associated with the entire BMW line. This corrosion problem isn't one. jbx

yea thats true, I contacted consumer affairs (800.662.6200) and they told me the following

Factory Basic Warranty 60,000mi (Which covers brakes full in full)
Powertrain Warranty 70,000mi
Rust Warranty 10yr/unlimited mile warranty

And they said they would memo my infiniti dealer about my problems.
I sh** you not, a few hours later..the dealer called, asked me to bring the car back in to get it serviced. They had just finished installing new brakes and rotors, and they are willing to re-service it...damn good service.

Ive realized that when there are problems that arise, infiniti is quick to taking a customer service standpoint, ensuring good service to the customer first.

I must say, after recieving that much attention, I was very proud of my F'd up brakes...(which btw, Ive been PM'd and been told to go with stoptech slotted rotors and Hawk Pads for a good quick fix to the problem)
