I rolled mine.

I have a friend who works for discount tire direct so they just let me borrow their roller. It is a device that attaches to your hub. You use a heat gun to warm the paint and then just roll this little device on the inside of your fender increasing the angle and pressure as you go. It takes a couple hours when you factor in taking off your wheels and stuff but it is not hard.

That's WAYYYY too much for an 8.5" rim. 35-40 would have an agressive fitment without rubbing.

+43 or +45 would be good offset for 8.5" wide rim.

Why not just get the correct offsets???

I don't understand why people insist on buying wheels with the WRONG fitment.

8/+40 front and 9/+38 rear will be fine, dropped or not.

A lot of times the wheel someone wants is not available in an offset that will fit our car so we have to be very aggressive and try to make it work.

People need to understand that in some cases to get what you want you may need to be willing to make some modifications or find another wheel.

My wheel manufacturer said there was no way a 10" +43 rear wheel would fit on a G35 sedan without rubbing, even if the fenders were rolled. I was able to prove them wrong and I have zero rubbing.

yeah I saw them but like I mentioned to you before...if you're set on those wheels, you've got to be prepared to roll your fenders and dial negative camber to clear them. The statement I hear all the time "it won't rub at stock height" is not really valid IMO. The car's suspension is simply not flexing enough to bring it down far enough to the tires...but if it did...it would not be pretty. More agressive offsets are likely to clear the fenders better on lowered cars, since they get more negative camber.

you're still waiting for these wheels? it's been a long time, hasn't it?

Then they're not made for your car. Why not get 8.5 all the way around?

Cru has a point.

Either get the ones for your car or make the necessary adjustments to make them fit.
