No, it was the older ones where you could actually remove the exhaust manifold. The TL 04+ is out of luck.

Well, the 04.5+ TLs were overated. They revised to 258hp from 270hp. The G35 only lost 5hp from 280 to 275 with the new SAE.

If your friend is auto, tell him you don't want to race as it might make his tranny go boom

The 04's were NOT overrated. Period. The standards by which the metrics were measured were changed. That does not mean that the original manufacturer numbers were overrated.

Back in the days, i use to love them acura 3.2 CL type S. Those cars are pretty fast 260hp not bad. However i hated the fwd with Sohc motor.

Because the TL was overrated

Semantics IMO but Trey is technically correct. Metrics changed but some manufacturers were more...."generous" in their testing methods than others.

At least it's not a CVT...my 05 Audi had the transmission and everytime I went WOT I thought I was going to burn the hell out of it.

seeing how you were low on gas would have been yet another reason why you would've won. your car was light.

toyota (and lexus for that matter) admitted that they ran motor tests without any accessory belts and likewise. just goes to show that differnent companies test their cars differently.

^^^
the rear axle on the g is just a little aft of the gas tank. I am surprised no one very pointed that the extra weight of a full tank might give you more rear wheel traction

The CL-S is fast with headers. Watch out. And this was a auto.
I agree. I raced one with headers, exhaust intake and couln't catch him untill the end of my 3rd gear.
