Who would win? my friend recently bought a CL-S and wanted to race me, but i kindly refused (running really low on gas haha), but it later struck up the question in my head.

i have a z-tube/pop charger with coupe middy and blitz nur spec exhaust.

Oh yeah, and both cars are auto.

Go to the track and run your car. Figure out what your average trap speed is. That will tell you all you need to know.

If he doesn't have headers, he doesn't have a chance. If he does, it will be a driver's race.

 

I had a CL-S and ran 15.2 at 95 mph in my CL-S bone stock.

I put headers and Exhaust on, and the car went to a 14.3 at 99.8 mph.

The CL-S is fast with headers. Watch out. And this was a auto.

They gain 30 hp on the dyno from just headers alone. So I guess so. I didn't believe it at first myself till I did a before and after dyno.

 

Russ does that include the newer versions that have the head/manifold intergrated?

I had one for 4 years. It was pretty quick stock, then with I/E/H it made some real gains. I would say the G would win 7 out of ten times. But from a roll it might be even. I never drove the 6 speed though. Race him and see what happens. You will both have traction issues

 

haha u better smoke a CL...i was smoking those in my supercharged grand prix..they are nice cars though another reason to get the 6MT....i almost got one
