The 3/10 wont look good on a black car, it'd be too light. I'd definitely suggest going with the 6/10. I dont think you'll have a problem with cops, the light output with our LED's is more than bright enough to shine through the overlays.

I have the 6/10 on my car and have had many, many cops behind me with no problems.

I did a little write up on installing overlays. Maybe this would help?

Ah yes, I forgot. Mine is an 04 but I changed the tails.

I did follow a black 04' with very dark tinted tails over in Burbank a few months back. I was surprised to see that it was no problem to see his blinkers or brake lights and it was in the middle of the day with the sun behind him. I still vote for the 6/10. If I would have kept my old tails I would have gotten them. The LED brake lights are easy to see, the turn signals are not as bright and you can still see mine just fine.

Yes that's a great write up. Just take your time and you should not have any problems with the install. Make sure and keep them wet. A baby shampoo/water and a alcohol/water solution help a lot. I used my kit from installing my clear bra to do them.

I think you will be very happy with the 6/10.

Good luck!
