Please excuse my ignorance, but I have searched the forums and can't seem to find a definite answer to my question. I have a 2003 6MT sedan without the dog house trunk, with the sat button, and aux ac button. So this seems to indicate a 2003.5. But from what I read, the 2003.5 has the long console that takes 2 rear floor mats. Mine has the single rear floor mat.

So what do I have?

 

first, welcome to the board. second, the rule of thumb is that if you don't have the doggy style you have a 2003.5 and this brings me to my next question. why are people so caught up in this 2003.5 thing? I mean...for all intensive purposes it's a 2003.

I think the point that the 03.5 people are making is that there seems to have been a very significant difference in evolution of the G at that point. Whenever someone makes a post about an 03 the next question to pop up is "do you have the doggie door?". The refernce to 03.5 gets us past that part and on to the useful information more quickly. FWIW

 

it is not the "whole" dog house the 2003's have back there.........just the doggie door

i have like one of the first 2003's. Made May 2002, and picked up at the end of May =D.

It has its share of problems but I still love it lol...

It is worth it to say 2003 or 2003.5 because of the changes.

As for the console, my early 04' has the single rear mat. I'm not sure when the revised console came out.

 

I have an early 2004, purchased in September 2003, the first month they were available. Would that be a 2004.08?

 

No but maybe a 2003.75, mine is also from Sept 03'.

 

You have a 2003.5 for two reasons; no doggy door and there were no 6MT's in '03.
