Popping noise from window

I wanted to ask everbody's opinion about a dilemma that just came up after hitting a pot hole and accelerating at the same time.

After I hit the pot hole and accelerated, I heard a popping noise from my passenger side window (the window was all the way down). I thought nothing of the noise until I got home and proceeded to get the window to go back up. As the window is coming out of the door (pretty much right after I hit the window button) there is this popping noise. It only happens once. Then, I hit the button so the window goes down because I couldn't believe what was going on. The same noise occured once it was inside the door. What do you guys think it is? I was thinking it might be something stuck within the door, but it hasn't left a scratch or a mark on the window.

Any takers on this one?

I want to take it to the dealer, but the door isn't under warranty because of an accident. This sucks because it's a 2005.

Take it back to where you got your car fixed after your accident and tell them the window is making noises out of nowhere, they should fix it because they need to gaurentee their work. Know what I mean.

+1. And you don`t need to tell them about the pothole. Sounds like they left something loose or out of position.

their work is so bad that i had to pull the door panel off, place duct tape all over the place (they used busted wire harnesses). I think at this point, I have broken the warranty on the door and I'm sure they will use that as an excuse. Besides, they take a year and a half to fix anything and they do a crap job on everything. I should take pictures of my back door. They didn't even take the time to put the factory plastic covering on the interior of the door.

I feel your pain. My drivers door does this. The dealership has tried several times and cannot seem to fix it.
