6MT Sedan 1/4 times are in!
I finally took my sedan to the track to get some baseline numbers before doing any mods. My local track is located 600' above sea level and weather was high 60's with humidity around 65% and pressure at 30.12 respectfully. Only got to make 3 runs because the whole world was there today
60' ______ 2.29____ 2.28 ____ 2.26
330' _____ 6.21____ 6.17 ____ 6.16
1/8 ______ 9.40____ 9.32 ____ 9.33
MPH ____ 78.03____ 78.48____ 78.20
1000' ___ 12.12____ 12.04____ NA
1/4_____ 14.42____ 14.33____ 14.35
MPH ____ 96.69____ 96.89____ 98.62
As you can see by my 60' times improvements can be made. On the way home on some side roads I tried slipping the clutch and the car launched much better. I'm confident next time out I can improve, just takes practice.
With only a few weeks left before the track closes for the year I don't I'll make it back. Next step will be a dyno run!

good times. at 1100 ft higher than that my stock times were 0.1 second slower than you so pretty much right on for altitude correction (my times correct to 14.28 at sea level). yes your 60 times need work. I am running those 60 ft times at my altitude in 100+ degree weather,
good job rep'n the G, sir.

I was hopping for a little faster, but overall happy. The car only has 2848 miles so it should get a bit quicker as it loosens up. Some guy at the track commented that the G35 is to nice of a car to race, others were impressed with what it ran.

Bobby,
where do you live, IE, what Track did you go to? Awesome times Dude...I wish I had the 6MT for the track only...if you get your 60' times down One or Two tenths you will see two-three tenths fall off your 1/4 mi times...and you will be right there with Motor Trend, etc.
This car blows my mind for what it can do, it's really nuts how you guys with the 6 MTs are almost in the 13s stock...Again, great job.

Re: 6MT Sedan 1/4 times are in!
bosssho,
I race at Toronto Motorsports Park about 1 hr from Toronto. With cooler weather and better 60' times my times can be improved. Its hard to compare times from others across the country to many variables. Usually, car mags can't don't produce the best times due to lift throttle shifts and limited seat time. Although, Motor Trend along with Car and Driver really punish the cars to get maximum results over say Road and Track.
Can we see 13's from a stock sedan?

Re: 6MT Sedan 1/4 times are in!
I agree with you 100% all the way down to MT, C&D, and how R&T doesn't try as hard.
To answer your question...if one of you 6MT guys takes everything off the car you possibly can for a reduction in weight and hit the track on 50-60 degree day and launch perfect, I bet a 13.9 at 98-99 mph is in the cards...I wish I could be the one to try it, but alas, us 5AT guys and girls can only hope for low to mid 14's unless someone figures out a 100% TCS/VDC overide for a more agressive launch.
