Ever had this problem?

Hey everyone...i've owned my car for almost a year now and recently noticed that my aluminum trim is yellowing!! WTF?! Has anyone had this issue b4 and if so how do i fix this? I should probably go to the dealer right? Well here are some pics of it

never heard of that before. it looks like cigarette smoke stains but the ash tray looks clean.

Looks like a warranty issue to me. There could be heat coming from behind the console that is causing the yellowing.

+1 Probably something acidic reacting with the aluminum.

usually pledge multi-surface...it says it can clean aluminum...i dont think its the product i use cuz hence the whole trim would most likely turn yellow,,,prolly gonna schedule appointement soon at the dealership

It seems like it's coming from the lower edge of the trim (i.e. from the ashtray).

I've had my X for just over 2 months now. I actually noticed mine is turning yellow too! AND I'm not a smoker! Let me know what happens with the dealer.

Starting to notice that quite a few ppl are having this problem...will def let you know what happens after the dealer...they better replace it under warranty
