Time to start my sedan projector mod

In the last week I have spoken to quite a few places about a low beam projector mod for my sedan. Unfortunately I just can't live without my headlights for over a week. Most places can get them back to me within 7 days for a additional (painful) fee. The going rate seems to be between $700-1,000 for the low beams and $1,400-2,000 for a quad-projector mod.

So like just about all my mods I have decided to do this myself. I just got a set of S2000 headlights for a decent price ($250) and will start the project when they get here. Most people seem to agree that the S2000 low beams are the best. Hopefully they work out for me.

I'll post some pics once I get started.

Yeah it's expensive. By the time I am done I should have no more than $350-400 in them (maybe less) but it will cost me a weekend. Oh well, time is money...

I'm sure you could. I would be worried about the inner bracket not being as strong as the oem to hold the projector and the lens turning yellow after time. Most of the aftermarket headlights I have seen are not made as well and don't hold up.

ttrank, I did the math and, if I did it correctly, CustomLightz would got you $555 since you've already got the projectors... but ya, most places that do high-quality jobs are very, very expensive. That price, might I add, includes a custom shroud AND color mod AND wet sanding/buffing the headlights to restore it to its original luster...

But once he gets back on, I'll talk to him about the price he'd offer for the group buy as well as the price he'd offer for the "First Buy" show-off option...

Yeah he said it would run me just under $800 back when I was going to buy TSX projectors from him. That also included having them done with priority service (under a week) and overnight shipping. It was the second best price I was offered. The S2000 projectors were ~$180 more, almost twice as much as the TSX ones.

I sent him another email asking about the "First Buy" discount and using the S2000 projectors I purchased. I am ready to do them as soon as my S2000 projectors come in. I need to make up my mind ASAP because if I am going to do them I want to buy some shrouds I found this weekend and start the mod on Thursday.

Do you know where his shop is located? What zip code? I am trying to estimate the shipping charges.

I got it from him. Looks like the back and forth shipping is going to kill me!

Thanks!
