Pathetic Rear Defogger

Does anyone else feel that our rear window defoggers barely work? Every time I have any kind of fog, condensation or even ice (one time this year so far) and I hit the rear defogger button it barely works after say 10 minutes...is there a special combination of magic buttons I need to press???

Hmm... mine's been working admirably so far. No ice yet, but every time I get some fogging up back there it's come to my rescue. I've got 21% on my back window, but I doubt that makes a difference at all. I'll test it out in some harsher cold and see what's up. Is your car garaged?

No, I keep it outside, I have 35% on the back...but that shouldn't matter...at least it never did on my 00 Maxima...and even my 87 GT works fine.

My brother said his 03 Civic is the same re: the rear taking forever to clear.

Take it to the dealer. Must be a problem with yours. Mine
works just fine.

I have to agree somewhat with bosssho. Sometimes it does seem to take a long time for the rear window to clear. Sometimes up to about 8 - 10 minutes. (morning dew)

I have noticed when I used a Automotive (Armor All) glass cleaner it seemed like it took longer because of the recent application. The rear window cleared up faster when I wash it with regular water and soap. My 92 Nissan Sentra's rear defroster still works like a charm, immediate results.
