G35x loaner

Today I took my car in for a recall service and the loaner car they gave me was a 35x.
Things I've noticed:
-better interior and sound system.
-The car also felt more solid and had more grip on the road.
-Did I mention it had a push start button.
-the newer taillights aren't that great.

Above all I was really impressed by the quietness of this car, No creaks!

G35x does not have push button start on a 2006

i'm sure you weren't all there when you picked up your loaner car

That would explain the interior and stereo. Oh and the price tag!

Here's a pic if you don't believe me.

I drive with the key in my pocket. I have more pictures if you want to see more.

That is not push button. That is the keyless start. The push button is a BUTTON...

The IS350 has a pushbutton start:

That the premium package intelligent key keyless start. Ive had my X for 5 days now and I think this is the most enjoyable feature on the car. Not having to dig out the key in the pocket to open the doors and start the car.

well G35x premium is not push button start like the 2007 G's or the 2006-up M series cars. you should be a little more specific in your post next time.

Technically speaking its not a "push start button" because you still need to turn the ignition on... but you can turn it on without the key in it.

Has anyone discussed with their dealer if the car will operate without the key in it's vicinity AFTER you "turn" or "torque" the keyless ignition on with the key in it's vicinity?

So, if I turned the car on, drove the car down the road and got jacked, said jackee could operate the G until it ran out of gas.

My dealer pretty much guessed that removing the fob from the vicinity of the car will not disable it.

Is that goofy? I think it is. But, (if they're in my pocket) at least I get to keep my keys when I get carjacked. Doh.
