I can totally blame that on your "hip hop." Just Kidding! I agree 100% with RacerX. A wolf in sheep's clothing, that's what gotcha.

Re: WOW!!!! 2nd time being smoked.

The car's quick but not killer. My 12 year old vette will smoke my G35 as it started 300 HP stock, more like 350 now with 500 coming soon. You got beat by a SC or Nos Jetta, nothing else. Do the same to your G and you'd smoke him back. Doesn't the SC I read about make 400 hp?

Yo,

Try brake standing (gas and break at the same time) w/ the VDC off to get a better launch. I know this is bad, so try not to do it all the time...you might pop a wheelie!!!

Well, that was your first mistake. That crap corrupts your mind. Next time, try putting in some Ted Nugent and blow his *** off the road.

i kept hereing this hissss noise

Maybe he had a vacuum leak.

<blockquote><font class="small">In reply to:</font><hr>

I dont know call me crazy but isnt this car the skyline..
The car every street racer fears!!!

<hr></blockquote>

No. It's a G35. And here in the United States, street racers fear the Dark Side (Buick Grand Nationals). There aren't many Skylines here.

<blockquote><font class="small">In reply to:</font><hr>

Whats the potential in this baby?
I mean what happened to the all powerfull 1056 HP skyline...

<hr></blockquote>

This is real life, not Gran Turismo.

<blockquote><font class="small">In reply to:</font><hr>

Or am i just a shitty racer..

<hr></blockquote>

Quite possibly. It's probably the "music" you listen to.

<blockquote><font class="small">In reply to:</font><hr>

Once agn distance was 1/4 mile (maybe less) and i hit like 100

<hr></blockquote>

You won't be hitting 100mph in a quarter mile or less in a stock G35.

Re: WOW!!!! 2nd time being smoked.

Light is red.
I stop and jam to my hip hop songs etc, when a Red jetta with dark TINTS pulls up and Revs his engine up loud as helll!..

Come on now, you should know better than that. First off, you DONT mention the guy has tints.. he could have NO windows, who cars? When a car comes next to you, look at the tires its running on.. look at the wheels, offset, and dont just JUMP into a race without knowing what you are going against.

Speaking of which, how about thinking of what you have? You have a heavy sedan with an AUTOMATIC transmission. Dont let the shift-selection fool you, thats ONLY good for car control in the canyons.. NOT for launching. Unless you dump some money into building your transmission (torque converter, etc) then racing off the line with an AUTO is pointless. Brake-stand will help, but please.. dont bother ruining your nice car. The cost of your transmission can probably buy you a 240SX which you can do wonders with.. if winning races is what you are trying to do.

Money doesnt win a race.. skill and driver does.

Re: WOW!!!! 2nd time being smoked.

totally agree with lyonsd. your choice of music was all wrong. i personally go with CCR (Creedence Clearwater Revival, for those not in the know), Journey, Queen's Reich or AC/DC is pretty good as well. as you can tell, i like those acronymed rock bands.. try these bands next time, as well as ted nugent and at least you'll be rockin to some kick-*** tunes while gettin smoked for a 3rd time and maybe, just maybe, if you got the time and/or the skill, you can throw in a fat piece of dip too...

Excellent advice my friend. You can't go wrong. And to add a little variety to the aforementioned selections, the original poster may want to also consider some Stevie Ray Vaughan. Played loud, of course, to clear out the shorts in the synapses that come with listening to (c)rap. Some Texas Flood ought to fix him right up.

Good Stuff. I like to use a little Motley Crue Kick Start My Heart or White Zombie to wake up the ponies under the hood. Nothing beats Pink Floyd, Zep or the Who for cruising though.

Re: WOW!!!! 2nd time being smoked.

That would be "Queensryche" not "Queen's Reich". I personally throw in some Van Hagar (Van Halen when Sammy was with them) for some good driving music.

That hip hop crap belongs in a Civic.

Just finished listening to some Pat Travers. Damn that guy can rock. If you like some raunchy, rockin' blues guitar, put in Boom Boom (Out Go The Lights), crank it up and stand back.

Re: WOW!!!! 2nd time being smoked.

Don't feel bad. A lot of those GTIs have staged upgrades like Mopar has for the SRT-4s, and they put out as much as 500 W.H.P. He had no business racing you, I guess he just wanted to feel good! Anyway if a supercharger comes out for the sedan you can always think about it. I'd much rather have the style of a G or the new Acura over those Fast and furious cars anyday!

Re: WOW!!!! 2nd time being smoked.

The 1046hp Skyline you're talking about is the R34 277hp in-line 6cyl, twin-turbo, that's not street-legal in the US. There are some that have been modified and imported. They run about $85K for a used one. The G35 is the 11th generation V35, v-6, non-turbo, street legal version. The extra hp comes from heavy modding and tuning of the stock r34 car.
