bad music
I've got to tell you that i like listening to rap and hip hop, as well as classic rock, hard rock, blues, jazz, bluegrass, latin, classical, electronic, jungle and more. I don't like modern country or hair metal. But to rip on guy for what he listens to is foolish. Some of the artists mentioned here made me laugh (at first I thought they were mentioned in jest.) Remember, there's no arguing with taste! I know I may have just broke the internets cardinal rule and started an argument... so before anyone responds remember this too: Arguing on the internet is like the Special Olympics- even if you win, you're still retarded.

This whole thread has been classic from start to finish...The Gran Turismo line is so true too...that and that Paul Walker Fast & the Furious Skyline comparison...I can almost say with confidence that the HP the original poster mentioned is exactly the Max HP you can get out of Gran Turismo SkyLine GT-R after you mod the eff out of it...lol
That Jetta either had laughing gas, hence the hiss, or a nice little turbo upgrade...either way the G stood no chance...and EVERYONE is dead on RIGHT telling him to stay in D and call it a day.

Haha, Dude where you live?
Your sedan is stock I assume so that Jetta had some crazy turbo on it. You need to learn how to launch it properly (have you been to the track yet?). In addition, if you do TQ you tranny you'll be able to launch it as a beast (assuming at least 245mm tires). G35 sedans (auto) running 14.3-14.4 w/ good 60' time (2.2) so if you add i/h/e you'll break 13s
When I had my stock Accord V6 (02) almost every fu<ker took me from the line (no low-end) so I made crazy mods and currently running consistant 13.9 (1/4) however soon will be faster. So now, I beat 350z, G35s, GS400, CL-S, TL-S, GT, Maximas all stock, and others with pleasure. No offence to anyone just telling the realilty.
(My G sedan coming soon).

Who's Stock Sedan AT is running low 14's...and BTW, 2.2 is not a good 60' time...for a stock 200 hp car it's pretty good fyi.

Re: WOW!!!! 2nd time being smoked.
bosssh,
normjack posted his best 1/4 with only K&N air filter on auto sedan:
Best ET
60ft 2.20
330 6.11
1/8th 9.31@76.80mph
1000ft 12.05
1/4 14.36@96.86
Now you know what i/h/e means and 2.20 are great time with stock tires.
In addition, 60' time is the key to a successful 1/4 mile results since later you would play a catch game.

Re: WOW!!!! 2nd time being smoked.
AV6,
2.20 are great time with stock tires. Not really, I ran 2.2s all day and ran a best of 14.6...When I ran our 02 Maxima SE, I pulled 2.1 with a low, low 14.5.
In addition, 60' time is the key to a successful 1/4 mile results since later you would play a catch game. They are a huge factor yet, but in the case of the G35, it's not the tires at all, but 100% the Car's VDC/ECU, and how hard you can launch w/o having either VDC or the ECU retarding timing/fuel, etc...IE, Power...
14.4 is simply awesome for a 5AT G35...I knew 14.5 was possible, but 14.4 is great...he had the right temps outside too which helps a ton...I am going to go back to the track with my 16" winter rims/tires for less weight and see if I can break into the 14.4-14.5 range this upcoming spring.

Re: WOW!!!! 2nd time being smoked.
What does listenikng to hip-hop or rock have anythign to do with it? C'mon now...gotta listen to some Chinese Hip-Hop LOL...Damn I'm clowning on my own peeps. Anyways, I like HIP-HOP when the BOOM BOOM is right...other times I'll listen to high-energy dance/house/techno like DJ TIESTO or OAKENFELD just to name a few. In a situatiion like that, when he starts rev'n and you're not sure what he's got...pretend you're going to race and let him take off!
One time this fool in a Lexus ES300 tried impressing his gf with his aggressive lane changing and speeding in a 25mph zone....Homeboy give me the "evil eye" after he cuts me off...I think nothing of it and he get's pulled over by "po-po"...I was LFMAO and just for the hell of it went around the block to where he was stopped...looked over, and just laughed in his face while his GF was yelling at him....LOL

Re: WOW!!!! 2nd time being smoked.
GYAL8R,
Very true. It doesn't prove anything in busy traffic and just endanger others. One time, one fool on some modded truck decided to show off on the busy rush hour traffic. I pulled in front of him then sudden I see his headlights up very close. I pulled hard to up to 55mph (was first car from the light) in the middle lane, then slow down seeing my radar going 'crazy'. That fool changed to the right lane and sped up to over 65 passing the cops making turn to our street who looked like WTF just happend, hehe. I was laughing so hard when they pulled that fool with other back up cars on the next light.
bosssho,
I guess the reason you not impressed with 2.2 (60') is you have a heavy car plus you HP/TQ numbers are ok. To give you an example when I pulled 2.206 on street tires in my supercharged Accord V6 coupe, I managed to run 13.93 considering my car now weigh only 3020lbs (3280lbs stock) and pulls 264whp/223wtq. My goal is 2.0 where I'll be able to run middle 13s with wider front tires and better upcoming cams.
Now, the following has to be changed in order to see the full potential of your sedan:
1. You need light rims and sticky tires.
Example - tirerack.com has gorgeous light rims called SSR Competition. If I were you I'd get 17 x 7.5 (13.6 lbs front) and 17 x 8 (14.6 lbs rear). Your stock rim weigh at least 25lbs each so you'll get excellent weight reduction. And tires I'd put 225/45/17 front and 245/45/17 rear. Brand ? Its up to you. I like the following BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KD, Bridgestone Potenza S-03 Pole Position, Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 not neccessary in the following order.
In addition, if you go with more then 17" rims/tires you would loose the performance and affect the 1/4 mile since upper size needs more inertia to move from the line and sucks more power at the wheels.
2. Did you remove spare/jack/tools/floor mats and other junk when you ran on the track? Thats help a lot. In addition, removing the back seat would be a good idea as well.
3. Add some mods to it. Intake/headers/exhaust will get you a decent gain. ECU upgrade as well as Torque conversion is the additional benefits.
