I didn't really like that spoiler either but now that I see these pictures I am starting become a fan.

Good luck with the fitment.

Thanks man...guess you mounted it a little bit in from the edge. I kept the spoiler & it's ready to be picked up @ the shop (got it painted)...not sure when I can get there to get it.

Appreciate the picts!

No problem.
Yeah, it sits in a tad bit. I may try to take it off and get it to the perfect position but it really is fine where it is for me.

Good luck and keep us posted.

The heat trick worked like a charm....

So after all of the advice, it seemed that natural heat (sitting the spoiler on the car in the sun on a warm day)would be the best fix for the install. I called into work sick on Friday & it was supposed to rain, but there wasn't a drop & the sun came out for a while & it only warmed up to low 70's, but it felt warm enough in the sun to give it a shot, so I stuck the spoiler on my back deck in direct sun for an hour or two & the difference was night & day. It bent quite easily now so I installed it with minimal effort (though I was cautious to try to get perfect fitment).

I was able to get perfect fitment all along the edge of the rounded trunk....looks freaking great; though it is slightly uncentered...you can't tell if you stand at the rear of the car, but if you go from one side to the other & look, it's visible....but I can live with it. I didn't start in the center, as I was alone & thought once you pull the back of the tape off and once the center is stuck down, how was I going to bend it & keep the other side in place? So the side I started on I ended up putting it too close to the edge of the side of the trunk, so on the other end, it came up short (it's maybe 1/8" difference)? When I installed it, I only pulled off 1/3 of the tape backing at a time to avoid the spoiler sticking to the trunk in places I didn't want it to....and this method work really well.

I'll post up some picts of the install & final product for others who are interested. I am very happy with this mod. I loved the picts I've seen of it prior to purchasing it, & thought it would be a small add-on for looks, but man, the car from the back looks SO different to me now! Pictures don't do it justice IMO. I have the UT Gialla type grille now too, but that's a different story for a different thread.

is it me or the spoiler looks like it does not line up straight with the trunk?

Final product picts

Here you go guys. Here are my picts....took one of the method/placement of the tape, as I wanted to maximize sticking @ the ends where the taper is...the give enough 3M tape to cut & place as I did luckily....now only if they were as considerate/thougtful w/ their grille design....

Yeah. it's off a little but it's more noticable in the pics and the shading in some of the pics makes it seem off as well.

Jimmy
