hey Tim, where'd you find how to do your retro at? is there a good DIY on hidplanet.com or something? I'm really really interested in doing this but dont want to start without a good guide.

I never found a DIY, I just got up the nerve and did it. I guess I got lucky, but it's not that hard at all. Just takes a lot of time.

I just had to come in here and give props. I love the S2K projectors. They give off a Really nice color and beam pattern.

Awesome Tim - I'm about to start on my TSX retro in the upper light. Since I want to upgrade to D2S bulbs....do I need to modify my bulb holder or just the bulb? I'm using my OEM ballasts and ignitors...sorry if its a noob question.

If you change to D2S bulbs you will not have to modify anything. If you use D2R and scrape the coating off you will have to modify the base to fit the projectors.

^Thanks!

I used the stock d2rs and I sanded/polished (2000 grit) the glass back to clear. then I notched the base of the bulb.....works perfectly.

Yeah that works too. More work but less money if you want to use your oem or current bulbs.
