Slower every day.

Well,I've had my G for 2 months now.And either I've gotten used to it or its gotten slower.... . Time to juice her up a bit I guess.

I work in a factory and pull lots of overtime to own this G.So to save any money is a miracle, especially with a daughter in her final year of collage.

And I'd like to do a couple of engine mods and I can swing about $1000.

I was thinking electronic supercharger,Z-tube(for grrrrrr) and splash guards for looks(I know I said engine mods).

I'm open to any suggestions and they'd be appreciated.

I would do a Z-tube, spacer, pop charger or Stillen intake and if you can spend a bit over $1k total look into an exhaust.

electric superchargers sufficate your car .. any of the suggestions from the ppl above are good answers. search around. you're not buying an intake for power, you're buying it for sound. You may be able to pick up an exhaust system cheap for $600- $700 and have enough for the other suggestions

Thanks for the suggestions so far,all are noted.

I hate to sound like an idiot, but I don't work for a Nascar pit crew.

What does the "spacer" do,and where does it go?

ztube only gona add a few extra ponies to ur ride and some say u wont feel a difference. If ur tired of ur G and thinks shes getting slow, go drive a civic for 2 to 3 days. than switch back to ur G and ull think she had a make over.

True fact, i drive a G and a suzuki trooper 94. drove the trooper for 2 days and when i got in my G again i was so shock and awe becuz i thought the fairy boosted my car. i was ROARRing down the street that same day.

No prob. We all had to start somewhere.

The upper plenum of the VQ engine on the G/Z has a problem with getting enough air to all 6 cylinders. The spacer fixes that problem. Check out Motordyne LINK. They are the best value for the money.

If you're on a tight budget and don't mind the 'psychological' horsepower gain...spend a few bucks (maybe $80 shipped) for a Coupe or 05 Sedan mid-pipe. Your 04 will howl like never before...awesome sound for the money...although no one has proven it adds any actual HP. There is some drone in the lower RPMs with the Coupe middy...but its worth it!

i would go with the unorthodox pulley set and a flywheel.!!
Its in your budget and they are somewhat sleeper mods too.!!
Imo.
