Slower every day.
I just made the switch from a S2000. The S and G have one thing in common, simple bolt-on, N/A mods don't really offer much. You will spend a lot of money for little gain. I've got some basic bolt-on mods that came with car, and it feels like it has a LITTLE more low-end grunt, compared to the stock cars I test drove, but not huge. Also, I'd do some research on the pulley. My car came with one, but I'm considering taking it off. There is a great thread that discusses the pro/cons. There was something close to this for the S and I didn't get it for the same reasons discussed in this forum's thread (messing with engine harmonics). As for sound, I have the Invidia and it sounds FANTASTIC.
None of the above will give you a SOTP difference. I had the MD spacer and Stilen intake and noticed nothing. It's more about the sound and people justifying spending the $$. Do what you want, but just warning you with honesty.
Spacer, intake and exhaust, these are still 14 second cars. Period. No one has proved otherwise. And many of the aftermarket exhausts sound like little Hondas....Be careful spending your money.

It's funny, but one grand won't buy you a whole lot. I just spent a bundle this summer on my ride. Stillen exhaust-$1,000. Stillen CAI and z tube, $250.00. Kinetix SSV intake manifold-$800.00. HKS DLI II ignition-$500. When you start to mod a car, the numbers add up quickly. I am planning to go with a 75 shot nitrous kit next-$600.
A good blower will cost 4-5 grand. You could also turbocharge as well for a little more. Speed costs. How fast do you want to go? Personally, I would get the Cold air intake and good exhaust. If you have a little more coin, do the intake manifold, either spacer or new manifold as the chamber in the stock manifold doesn't flow that well.
