I got the damper from caskyline too...

Its soo much nicer with the hood prop out of the way.

I didn't know anyone was making a set of hood struts, I would have waited. I just got a set of universal ones this weekend and put them on. I had to trim my battery covers more than that.

Looks very nice.

^ yea, my battery covers are shaved just slightly. A notch on each cover around the size of 1/2 a hole punch... I think these may be universal too, but they work great. It gives just the right amount of support and upward force, considering that this is not oem and that it provides support from the lower part of the hood. The hood does not bow when closed, I have not had any problems since they were installed. (I have had them for a few weeks, but wanted the grill to be done before pics)
