Aren't the headers the real cause for the lack of low-end torque? A buddy put headers on his Z and the lack of low-end torque was very obvious. Or is the Stillen so free flowing that it takes away some bottom-end all on it's own?

I believe the issue is that these aftermarket exhausts don't have the variable valve that opens & closes depending on the pressure (OEM muffler has this), so low end torque is sacrificed a bit w/ the HKS & the like. I'm 90% sure that is correct....

just wanted to update... gf came down for the weekend and we did a bit of driving around. at first she didn't say anything about the car. after a couple of starts she noticed it was a bit louder and when she saw a cop, she told me to take it easy on the gas so i wouldn't make too much noise and draw attn. overall she thought it was louder but not too loud... thumbs up

There has been a Vendor thread on this exhaust for a week or so now. You can check it out. I can't offer the same price as I did absoluteg but I can get these instock with no issues.

WHY would you do that? It's a heat shield and is there for a reason. Stock exhaust or aftermarket doesn't matter. It should not be removed.
