Im saving up for the aero, but im not sure to get the whole kit or just spring for the front bumper. the whole kit i believe was $1500+. Imma try n get it by winter so by spring i can have it installed and ready. Its snows so muchin so much in january here in KC that im not even gonna bring it out in the snow being RWD and all.

Na, you'll be completely fine driving around KC in 3-5" snow assuming you have all-season rubber. If you don't, then you'll have to park the car. Tires mean everything. With traction and stability control, having RWD isn't so much of a problem another. Plus, the snow crews in KC are pretty quick to get most of the snow off the roads within a couple hours.

As for the Aero kit, I think it's pure weak sauce and demand that all of you send me your Aero bumpers so that I can properly dispose of them.

im stuck on what to do with my 05 front bumper too. im def not a fan of the aero for some reason seems a bit tacky. i had my oem grill modded w/o the emblem and painted to color match which is satisfying my needs as of now but the lower grills annoy the hell outta me!

I think this thread was more referring to the 03-04 bumper. But I'm going to have to agree with you that the 05+ aero lip looks a bit tacky. It looks like it's just slapped on there. Doesn't seem to match the lines of the car. I like how the 03-04 bumper is one piece.

LOL. I was gonna say something along those lines too. But I was gonna mention the entire kit.

Question. If you think the Aero kit is "played" because so many have it, then how can the stock stuff also NOT be just as "played"?

Just wondering

I hate it when somebody comes on this board with pics of their stock 03/04's and the most common comments are to tint, lower and get the aero. Why? So it looks like the rest of the cars on this board?

Btw, I don't mind getting flamed, this is just my opinion.

DaveB, that is true, the snow crew is pretty quick but i live out in piper, by the kansas speedway. Its not exactly the city where snow crews are quick to respond. Plus I work in Basehor, kansas. about 5min west of the verizon amphitheater and the roads dont get cleaned very well if at all...

I live in Phoenix which is the 5th largest city in the country. I see lots and lots of G sedans every day. 99% of the 03/04's I see do not have the Aero kit. It is a much better looking front end that follows the body lines and flows way better than the standard oem front end which just dips in. In the ~6 months I had my old front end I just never got used to it.

Basically I disagree that it is played out and that the oem is better looking.

I guess I can be partly to blame for the increase we have seen in the Aero bumpers lately since I set up the group buy for them a few months back.

This is definitely a pure opinion thread and that is my $0.02...

Pics for people who look up this thread later:

OEM front end painted all the way down (no grey) but before hood paint:

The 05-06 oem front end, sides and rear are such an improvement on the 03-04. The oem lip spoiler just completes it so nicely. I still like the Aero over the newer but it's not cheap. If I had a 05-06 I would be very happy.
