so im suppose to dremel a hole into the reflector big enough for the lens and some of the body to go in? so am i correct in the sense that the part that i outlined in red is suppose to be behind the reflector and i would use jbweld to hold it in place? do i place the headlights onto a piece of aluminum foil in the oven?

It depends on how YOU want to mount the projector. There's no right or wrong way. Retrofits are completely up to your imagination and creativity.
You could mount it so that the red part is in the front of the reflector. That would bring the projector closer to the front and help with the width of the output, but then you'd see that ugly part all the time. Unless if you plan on using something to cover it up.
First, whatever you do, make sure that everything fits right when you go to put back on the lens and back into the car.
Then you concern yourself with making it pretty.

i see thanks. I wanted to see what most people did from psat experiences. I want to get as much knowledge as i can before i start on this project. Maybe ill come up with something new! anyone else care to chime in?
I'll be working on my project very soon. Just waiting for the projectors to arrive. I am going to try using the Mercedes 500SL shrouds. It is works, it'll be really cool.
