Light Weight Fly Wheels
And the purpose of this is what???? Gaining chatter on a still 14 sec car? Can someone explain why you would want this with no documented gains?
Seems that folks just have $$ to burn. Hate to say this, but reminds me of the Honda crowd that dumps thousands into their cars hoping to break into the 15's on track day. Just doesn't make sense....

You do not gain Hp from installing a light weight Flywheel you free up HP by removing rotational mass off the engine the same way light weight wheels and lightened crank pulleys work. So their are not really any Actual Gains, your just making your engine alot more efficient.

I've modded and raced many a car over the years. And if I spent $2000 on boltons and gained .1-.2 at the track I would not be happy.....
I am not a big fan of light weight flywheels. Had the fidanza on my 5spd turbo I30. It's not that the driveability as an issue, although there is a difference, it's just that it really doesn't do much. There are alot of other places "mod" money could go to be better put to use than a light weight flywheel. It makes it harder to launch consistantly at the drag strip. The only thing I liked about it was rev matching, it only takes a light blip of the throttle. If your heavily into road racing or auto cross then maybe it's something to look into. But for the ordinary person who might go to the drag strip every once is a while it's kinda worthless.
Like stated already, the gains (reduction of unsprug weight) from a light weight flywheel diminish in each gear. after first gear the numbers are negatable.

Well i guess if their was going to be a difference seen in switching to a lighter flywheel all depends on what the factory flywheel already weighs.. I think moving to a 14 pound fly wheel vs are stock 28 pound fly wheels is going to show some difference.. Weather the difference is worth the price is up to you..

I think what Jeff posted is what I remember. 22ish stock and 12 for the fidanz. I think I actually bought mine from Jeff....
