im on 18's with a 9" wide rim on 38 offset in the rears; dropped on h-techs ; with 1.1 degree neg. camber, and tires are 275/40/18.
you will definately need to roll your fender to clear 9.5 on 38, in addition to running some neg. camber.
you should be going with 42 or 45mm on 9.5 rears. I have about 2mm from tire to fender at its closest point when my suspension travels its range.

OMG! That was PNut's car....As far as I remember, with that set up, he had mad rubbing issues.

I say do it... it will take a little work to get the setup just right, but if thats the wheel setup you want... do it, it will turn out great. What wheel will you be getting?
Most people here want/run conservative setups... dont want to roll fenders, or dont want neg camber, or dont want stretched tires ... no fun... maybe I have been spending too much time on vipstylecars.com

I think I have been spending too much time in vipstylecars as well. i'm willing to roll fenders, run neg camber and stretched tires. but my wheels i ordered arent very vip like. i got volk gts 8.5f +36, 9.5r +37. Im only lowered on revised z springs, and im cambering a little over 1 degree in the rear. that should help with clearance.Originally Posted by Clean G 4D

are there tires specifically made for vip style setups? thats the only thing i'm worried about too. i dont want to keep spending a **** load of money on tires.
what do you guys think about 19x8F and 19x9R? clueless about the offsets though.

If your only running -1.0 camber in the rear, if you do end up rubbing you can dial in the negative camber even more without a camber kit. I know you can go past -2.0 with the oem rear camber adjustments.

Do you want VIP offsets or conservative offsets so you dont have to roll your fenders and worry about rubbing? Originally Posted by Infinite_636

haha, i wish, but not enough money...but i just want something similar to vip...vip-ish.
just staggered wheels, and lowered. thats about it. and eventually i'll get the coilovers.

If you dont want to rub and you want 8F/9R the offsets would be around 30-35F and 37-43R. Chico can correct me if i'm way off, but i think those are pretty accurate.Originally Posted by Infinite_636
i definately dont want to rub.

with 255s in the back u shouldn't have a problem with fenders shaved Of course. 275s are a bit risky with the type of offset ur going for even with about -2.0 camber.
