Anyone Interested In A Carbon Fiber Lip Kit for the Sedan?

okay I need to let my guy know if anyone would be interested in a carbon fiber front lip for the sedans. I will send mine out so they can make a mold in one month's time. they then in the winter will work on a side skirt and rear lip for the '05-up cars.

If you're down just add your name to the list so I can see if they'll produce it or not...

Pricing won't be final until a few weeks but project it to be around $400-$500 range for a nice clean carbon fiber piece.

Urathane would be a much better idea since as I'm sure you know, that front lip has no love of steep driveway's or parking lot stops. I can't go more then a few day's without scraping it on something. I'd destroy a Carbon fiber one all too quickly I'm afraid. Will be interesting to see what it looks like though.

I'm intersted in the rear piece but. Like others, I want to see what it will look like. I don't need/want CF. I would paint it anyways so it's a waste of CF.

That would look great but I agree it would get trashed too fast. I would stick with urethane.

I dont know about some of these comments about CF not being strong... My brother had CF splitters on his civic a few years ago. He scraped those things on just about everything, including our driveway on a regular basis. They lasted maybe 3 years (dont know exactly how long) and still looked good. It really depends on the quality, clearcoat, etc. He ended up losing the splitters when he had an encounter with a spare tire on the freeway.

The material doesn't matter to me since I would have it painted. I have faith in CF being durable when properly manufactured. Polyurethane will do just fine for my application, I think it's probably cheaper to manufacture too.
