Wood Trim
Wood Trim
Is the wood trim really wood, it says it's "genuine wood trim" just curious, guess I could find out by sanding it, LOL, just kidding!

Re: Wood Trim
It is real wood and beautiful. If ya wanna see what fake wood looks like check out the Lincoln LS 1999-2003 models. Really cheesy fake plastic wood - no comparison to what's in the G. You can press it with your finger and it just bows inwards. I have heard Lincoln does offer real wood as an option on 2004 LS models, but I haven't seen that in person yet.
Re: Wood Trim
Thanks, I had also looked at the Jaguar X-Type, and that wood was similar to this, it was just that it's so smooth and when I tap on it, it sounded fake almost!

Re: Wood Trim
Hi!
I have a sedan and have the Titanium interior with Charcaol. I swapped out the titanium door covers for the wood ones. Cost $80.00 from an Infiniti dealer for all 4 doors. Reason - the titanium ones were rubbing off where my pant leg hits them on the driver's side and black plastic from underneath was coming through. I got a replacement cover under warranty for the one that was worn, and then I bought the wood ones. They are plastic and snap on just as the titanium ones. However, I can't tell but there could be real wood over the plastic housing that they come on. I like the look of the wood within the Titanium. Lexus SC430's combine the wood with black and cream in the inside and it looks cool. So, I haven't worn through the wood door covers yet but if I get through the enamel coating, I'll let you knjow if they're real wood or not!
