I noticed today that the drivers side of my hood is sitting below the fender line on that side only. The passengers side hood sits flush with the fender. Does anyone know how to adjust this? I dont know how/when this happened but ever since I saw it, it has been driving me nuts.

 

There is not much of an up/down adjustment. Is it even with the fender up by the windshield? If not, that may be the problem. You can loosen the bolts and move it a little there which may fix the gap.

 

yeah its even up that way but as you move down to the bumper it just sinks.

 

Adjust the rubber stoppers at the lower corners of the hood.

 

Funny thing.I bought an 04 G35 two months ago.Brought it in for my first service the other day.Mechanic noticed the hood was sitting uneven and rubbing when he lifted it.
I swear it looked good to me and I heard or felt nothing when lifted.
Still,they replaced the hinges and pistons on warranty.
And 10 days later got a thank you card for my patronage.
