Sluggish performance

A couple of months ago I install the injen intake. I am now wondering if it is causing my 2 problems. With my first problem I have noticed that my gas mileage has gone down to about 19 mpg when shifting easy in town but even lower when driving the car like it should be.

I have also noticed extreme sluggishness in all of my gears all the way up to about 4800 rpm's. This is of course while the engine is cold and after it has been sitting for about a 24 hour period, but this is Phoenix and the night time temperatures are only going into the 70's. I have reset the ECU by tapping the gas pedal and following those instructions.

WHAT SHOULD I DO?

If you say, "Take it to the dealer", then should I put the stock intake back on before heading down there?

Please give me an answer I can live with!

Re: Sluggish performance

Assuming you're talking about the 5AT, you might try the "real" ECU reset of unplugging the battery overnight.

Hell no! I have the 6 speed tranny. I appreciate the unplugging of the battery advice, but should I bring this sluggishness to the dealers attention while I have the injen intake on? What other advice is out there?

Re: Sluggish performance

No! they will use it as and excuse to void your warranty in the event something is wrong and the problem is related to your intake air, temp, fuel mix, ect. sometimes with a cold air fuel mix you might want to go with a hotter burning spark plug, this should help when the car is cold and won't hurt after warming up.
