Rumble, That definitely looks like a weld to me. Looks like it's done from underneath and looks ok.
What I'm wondering is what muffler/silencer system they used. More pics and the sound clip will be interesting. (Thanks Howard.)

The back part of the tips are welded together.

Sorry, but I didn't have time for more picks and a new sound clip today and it is still to windy.

I will add the questions to my list of questions for Borla when I contact them tomorrow.
