I have a couple questions though... which **** is for the height adjustment, and do you have to remove the wheel/fender liner to access it?

Thanks!

I tried turning that one on the lower pic with no luck either I tried every think even a close hanger LOL but that little mother F^&ker wouldn’t move

I think you guys are expecting to be able to turn the screw with the screwdriver. You can't. You can only poke the screwdriver in the hole to pry the geared adjusting wheel about 15 degrees in either direction, then you have to pull the screwdriver out, turn it back 15 degress and re-insert it to do it again. This limits how much "damage" you can do in one turn. It makes it a lot harder to loose track of how far you need to turn it. If it feels like it won't move - don't push it. It hardly takes any force at all to move the wheel. Use a slot screwdriver with about 1/4 inch slot. Each turn moves the gear over one tooth - that's it.

Thumbs up Alrightyyyy Thenn

Thought i'd try and clear things up...that little "gear" looking thingy (1st pic) is what will adjust ur headlights. You can get to it by the small hole (2nd pic) to the side of the housing or by snugging under/behind the light and turning it gently(flat head). It is much more visible on my dirver side than passenger b/c i have a cold air which gives a little more room. I noticed on the passenger side that its gonna be difficult to get from underneath it b/c of the hoses and such (3rd pic). Hope this helps anyone in question i still havnt done the adjusting yet

I went back out after seeing this thread again and thought I would try one last time. My attempts before were to force the teeth of the gear to move with all sorts of screwdrivers, metal picks and even resorted to a coat hanger. I simply put a 6 inch philips in the hole and turned it. Clockwise for rise and vice versa. Worker smarter not harder I suppose. The second pic posted above is what you need to look for on both sides and a decent size philips screwdriver and you should be set.

super old thread! But I need help adjusting my headlamps. I've heard they can be adjust from side to side. Which in my case my passenger side is slightly to the left to much. Manual isn't clear on how to adjust the lamps at all. and all the old threads around aren't much help with adjusting in any direction. thanks for the help in advance.

Let's pretend you have a 2008 sedan. The service manual (pointed to above) shows only "up" or "down" is available from the adjustment screws (see pics below). There was also something called "ACTIVE ADAPTIVE FRONT-LIGHTING SYSTEM" or AFS which was a steering related headlamp swivel - but I'm not sure it was available here in the US. Definitely grab the "EXL.pdf" service manual for your car, the info is in there.
