Has anyone noticed the temperature reading?

Has anyone noticed that it is usually always off by at least 3-5 degrees?

Mine occasionally sticks. When its in the 80s or 90s out, mine will still say 70 for about 30 minutes until the temp gauge registers it (this is when my car is parked outside in the sun). Of course I told the useless a-holes at mission viejo infiniti and they did not even acknowledge it

yes it is inaccurate. I've always said I'd ask the dealership on my next visit and keep forgetting. anybody have any clues how to fix it?

Yea mine is innacurate for sure. Always reading high.

My dad has an MDX and even if his car has been in the sun, it won't read so much off as mine does.

The sensor is under the hood behind the grill, so it will often read high from latent engine heat until you get some airflow going.

If my car has been out in the sun for a while it will read way high at first. If it is in the garage it's right on. After I have been driving for 10-25 minutes it's within 1-3 degrees.

Me too. The only time really I find it inaccurate is when the car has been in the sun all day, it'll read record high..but then after driving a bit, it equalibriates (is that a word? ). Good enough for me too though...it's not like my day changes or I plan my day any differently based on the temp reading.

On a 90 degree day, when my car has been sitting in my 78 degree garage, the temp reading won't reach 90 for at least 30 to 60 minutes. It's like it gets stuck down there. Lately, since the days have cooled off, I would say it seems a little more responsive, but it is still pretty slow to register the correct or nearly correct outdoor temp. I was thinking about asking the dealer if this is normal.

Mine never seems right but it's not like I need the car to tell me if it's hot or cold outside. Mine usually reads very high when sitting in the shade or in the garage for hours. Once driving around for a while it seems to work better but I don't usually look. I just flip around the inside temp **** if I'm hot or cold.
