exhaust question

well, i looked at a few youtube video clips of the sedans, and came across two in particular. i guess it was lucky since i was wondering this myself.

which muffler is better or sounds better on the sedan in everyone's opinion? the stillen or the hks rear muffler?

from the video, the stillen seems to have a deeper sound than the hks'.

what do you guys think? which is better? and the better buy?

The Stillen is louder and has more rasp/drone.

IMO the Borla is the best sounding.

many opinions here are going to be biased,... There will be a lot of mixed comments.. You're going to have to hear them in person. Go to a meet, I'm sure atleast one person would have an aftermarket setup

Try this site out. They have proven gains on their exhaust. I have there coupe cat back and its great. Not to loud but you can feel it at wot.

Sound clips of the sedan.

Give them a call , they are local too which is good if you want to go there and see the exhaust for yourself. I know the owner personally and he drives a g35 sedan for a commuter. Before you buy, check them out.
Tell him that James sent you.

If you want info from me, PM me,

I have the HKS rear section muffler and I couldn't be happier. It is very easy to install and gives my sedan the sound of an old Jag E type!! I have had several compliments on the sound. Even a young woman that knows virtually nothing about cars said (when I started it) "Ooh, that sounds powerful"

i did a custom exhaust set up on my car w/ a magnaflow 22inch resonator and custom piping cat-back and it's close to a coupe sound but louder.... i'll try to get a soundclip of it but most people from NY G-Squad heard it at the meet over the weekend

cool, thanks guys. i guess alot of ppl are leaning towards the hks. i did however notice that the stillen does have alot of drone noise that imo, is nice and doesn't other me, but would probably bother some other ppl sitting with me, such as my fambam.

I'm an HKS advocate as well.....freaking love my car. This morning when I was driving my 3 year old son to preschool, I stepped on the gas a bit more than I normally do when I made a turn at the stop sign.......his exact words were: "are you racing, dada"? I said no, I'm not racing...he replied "yeah, you're racing"...HA! Sorry...had to share that. If my car were stock, I know he wouldn't have said anything. BTW - whichever you choose, don't plan on getting much HP gains....the #'s they quote aren't accurate.

LOL! i have the HKS as well and couldnt be happier! any louder or raspier would make it distasteful for me and my sedan.....
