Just curious how much your insurance would go up afterward.

If it's not his fault then it should not change except to account for the new 07' G35.

My insurance had to pay out ~$14k to me for a single car accident and mine only went up ~5%.

I thought if someone hits your car, you get paid by their insurance, no?

If you involve your insurance than they will pay you and get reimbursed from the other company.

Oh really? I thought your insurance goes up regardless who's at fault. So if his car it's worth 30k, the insurance is eating that 30k all by themselves???

Could vary from state to state, but hit & run's are covered, no increase in premium (just have to pay the deductable)....also, hitting animals is covered too (won't go up)....

Great! Now you just encouraged people to get their beaters and start running over all kinds of four legged critters!

I think if another party was at fault, his company will collect from their company.

To the OP: Wow, that's some extensive damage on the G. Sorry to hear about your loss, but great to hear that insurance is totaling it, allowing you to afford the 07 G as an upgrade. I myself had a front-end collision with my Lexus last August , which ended up being totaled and allowed me to purchase the G as my current ride. There's almost always something good to come out after any accident

Sorry about your ride bro.

But thank God that you're unhurt and are looking at the bright side of the ordeal...an 07 G!

You going with DG again????
