lol yeah, he wasn't too excited driving the toyota, but it was better than being car-less for the day. eventually, they gave him a benz loaner until his car was repaired, and the dealer paid for his rental. we joked and said they should compensate for the emotional strain of going from his car to a toyota. no power anything -- windows, locks, etc. although it had a CD player and all the radio buttons were pre-set to heavy metal stations.

That would be an anxiety causing thing, probably needed "therapy" after that, even going from the G would be traumatic, I'm sure even if the Infiniti dealer sends you to Enterprise, they pay for it, I would hope anyway! Now that funny MB giving out a 12g Corolla to someone who paid at least 80g+. The least they can do is give him a Town Car. Besides I didn't know Enterprise had Corollas. The one I live near lets you rent, Hummers, Porsches, Ferrari's, MB, BMW, Saleens, and so on.

 

My Infiniti dealer (the only one in town) uses Enterprise. The best car I ever got was a new Cavalier. Usually it's a beat-up G20.

I don't mind that much, though. I just drive the loaner to and from work and I appreciate the G all that much more when I pick it up at the end of the day.

 

They charged me $36.00 for everything.

would infiniti ever give me a 6mt coupe as a loner car? or are they alwasy 5at sedans? ive got a 5at sedan, and when we get it serviced, i want something funner.

 

Depends on your dealer, honestly. So far, for 3 oil changes and two TSBs, I've gotten:

I35
G35s
FX35- tech
FX45
M45

It'a always fun to get your hands on a new toy for a while-- ask your dealer what they have. They usually don't offer up 6MTs because they can't guarentee anyone knows how to DRIVE them, but you might get lucky.

Took my car in for rattles yesterday and they gave me a G. They didn't charge me a dime and didn't bother to check whether I emptied the gas tank. Took my E320 in to Fletcher Jones and they gave me a Pontiac Grand AM and charged me about $11 plus the car had to come back at the same level of gas as it left. I have been taking my car to various Mercedes dealers and many today don't offer Mercedes loaners even though the sales who sold me the car fed me with all the crap about getting a loaner whenever you come in for service.

 

i guess it varies with your dealer/location. my friend in chicago would get MLs, while my mom's dealer gives MLs, C class, and that weird hatchback benz as free loaners. the only crappy thing is that they have this fairly big sticker on the top of the rear windshield that says "(dealer's name) mercedes benz loaner."

i like how the infiniti here gives free loaners and makes it look like you're not borrowing a car from the dealer.
