2004 g35 x breaks!

Hi:

I've just replaced my breaks on my 04 g35x for the 4th time at 35k miles. Infiniti paid for each one. But this time they told me I'd have to pay going forward. The dealer also told me lots of folks were screaming about this!

I've had lots of cars and NEVER replaces them every 8k-10k miles.

What's up? Is Infiniti going to fix this?

Thanks!

Do you mean "Brakes"? Or is your car broken?
The brakes on my X are still original. Do you do lots of city driving? Others have complained, that`s why Infiniti extended the brake warrenty to 36,000 miles. If you are wearing them out at that rate, I would suggest an upgrade to other than OEM next time.

That is interesting!!

I think my brake indicator just started to squeak on my 2004 G35x today.
Should I even bother with the dealer or buy some HKS pads..

I have the same exact problem on my 2004 g35x and I am always spending around 300 dollars each trip to the auto shop to get them replaced. I guess it was a faulty design from Infiniti.

Its been known that the Pre 05 G sedans and I think the non 6sp coupes had really soft pads from the factory. Hence, as another member already stated, they offered the 36K mile warranty. After that period I just got some aftermarket pads and have not had to change them in 50K miles of driving. In short.. just get some aftermarket pads.

Where is a good internet site to buy HKS brake pads for my G35x???

By the way, I live in Utah near the mountains and can drive through any snow with good snow tires. I wrecked my 2003 sedan with the sport package, without snow tires, on Christmas day 2004. Hit some ice.
