Headlight Question

Still getting used to the new 06 35 Sedan. When I get out of the car the headlights stay on for a few minutes before turning off (automatic mode). I was wondering if you can shorten that timeframe or even disable it altogether. Pulling up to a store or restaurant gets me a bunch of dirty looks because they don't go off more quickly. yes I COULD always throw the off switch but I am looking for the best of both worlds. Automatically turned on headlights that go off when the car is turned off. Ideas?

Thanks All,
Chris

nope

i think if you have a good contact at the dealer you can reprogram the comp for that thru the consult computer, i read that theres a whole mess of options that can be changed thru the comp

Yeah, I would see if the dealer can change the timer for you.

If the car has nav, then you can change the duration in the menus. If you don't have nav, then the dealer must do it. I had mine changed so that the lights go off when you exit the car and close the doors. So, if you're at a gas station, the lights will stay on until you restart the car, open and shut a door or manually shut them off. I think the 15 minute timer will still override this. There is a list of things that the dealer can adjust somewhere on this board, just not sure where.

That's cool. It makes me wish I had the factory nav.

In automatic mode your headlights should turn off after 45 seconds, not 15 minutes. My headlights turn off in 45 seconds and I do not have factory navigation in my 05 Obsidian black 5AT with premium and sport packages, In Canada our option listings are condensed.
