I have a 2006 Sedan 6MT with Premium & Aero package. I have lately noticed that everytime I have my car parked out in the cold - the TPM system warning light comes on. It stays on until I park the car in the garage at night and then stays off.

I have had couple of technician look at it and they said that the tires had proper pressure and that there was no problem - it was probably because the cold air inside the tire is more dense. They recommended using nitrogen.

Has anyone used Nitrogen instead of regular air - noticed any improvements in ride quality or maybe worse?

Thanks,

Kunal

There are lots of people who use it. I wonder where I could get some around here?

Dallas is getting some "chilly" weather and last Saturday, my tire inflation lite came on and would not go out, even though the pressure was fine - 13 mile drive. Was still on the next morning; even double checked to be sure there was no sensor in the spare. If it does it again, I will check with the dealer.

Just pump up your pressures over stock and when the temp dips you'll still be at or over stock pressures.

I used to run 35-36psi on my 350Z and 38-40psi on my Eagle Talon for better handling... you just get a harsher ride and a bit more tire-wear in the centre of the contact-patch.
