maxipad has less horsepower than the g35.

03.5 G35, 280hp, rwd, 3,350lbs > 04 Max, 255-265hp, fwd, prob. heavier than the G.

With both equal drivers and launch the g35 will pull, and will have a better launch.

g35 6mt, 5at > maxipad 6mt, 5at.

 

Nice thread, also I was wondering if anyone knows if my 2005 g35AT can take an 04 Maserati Quattroporte. I was thinking that I might have the advantage even though I have less torque, horsepower, cylinders and less gears because my 5spd auto will shift so smoothly and I won't have to worry about proper shifting and also because my rear windows are tinted and I have an Alpine amp with cross overs.

I'm only asking because I have a friend who knows a guy that has a room mate that slept with this dude who says he can take me.

I'm pretty sure I can smoke him off the line but if you guys could just chime in and re-assure my fragile male ego that would be great.

 

The 03.5G sedan is only rated at 260hp/260tq.

i raced my friend's 04 maxima both in tiptronic mode and I spanked the living $#!t out of that car...the maxima is no where near the performance of the G, although it does have a lot of extra technology goodies

 

Thats true on paper, but they where underrated from the factory and dyno about 1-3hp difference from the 03-04 G35 coupe that was ranked at 280hp.

 

G will win, race already been done before.

 

So very true dude, so very true. I have a 04 6MT Sedan and when I did my dyno stock I got 230hp & 226tq @ the wheels. From what I've seen on the boards 350Z's & G-Coupes are getting around the same numbers

G versue Maxima - shouldn't even be close
