There are several threads on these issues usually pertaining to rev-up motor G35s (both coupes and sedans). I am starting this thread so that we can get a head count of how many people are actually having this problem so reply only if you have unresolved/unsolved/mysetrious pinging in your rev-up vq35.

It's when there is too much heat and pressure in the combustion chamber and the fuel ignites before the piston has moved all the way back up and the spark plug has fired.

It basically sounds like hundreds of tiny metal ***** being poured onto a piece of tin.
