Made the jump - NEW '07 Sport
I picked up my new 2007 G35 Sport on Monday night. They had three at the dealer, so pickings were pretty slim. It was the only sport model. It has the premium package, the tech package, and the nav. I traded my 04 sport sedan for it. HUGE difference. Night and day!
I loved my old G, but this thing ROCKS!!!

The tech package is the intelligent cruise control, adaptive front lighting system (turns with you on curves, which I've already experienced and like), Rear View Monitor for backing. Not sure I would have got this package if it hadn't already been on the car, but whatever. The rear view monitor is nice I guess, since I back into my garage every night. I will post pics as soon as possible.

They gave me blue book value. It had a few nicks (I bumped an idiot that stopped in the middle of an intersection last month), which will require the replacement of the front facsia. They were $52 under the Kelley Blue Book price I brought with me. My '04 had 69k miles, but I took good care of it and always had it serviced at this dealership.
As for the 07, With the Premium Package, Tech Package, Nav Package, LoJack, and Tire/Rim warranty, plus tax, tags, etc, the total was about $43k.
About what I expected for what I got. I was a little upset they wanted me to pay $50 for a cargo net on a $40k car, but that is taken care of.
One word of caution. I'm a Sirius fan (had 2 receivers, one was in my '04). They are telling me (I don't believe them at this point) that you cannot get Sirius if you get the NAV package, because the NAV system uses XM. I say BS. I am still chasing this issue.
After four days, I love this car. Handles great, feels smooth. Plenty of power. I can't wait to have it broke in so I can get a feel for how she really likes to play. I have not used the paddle shifters yet, because I am taking her easy right now.
I especially like the keyless entry/start. Also, the 9.5GB hard drive is a nice touch. You can pick a mood (relaxing, easy, hopping, etc.) and the hard drive program will play music from that genre. You can insert a CD and record while listening to it, or record while listening to satellite radio, etc. Cool feature!
My parents are coming in to visit from out of town tonight, so pics will probably have to wait until Friday/Saturday.
