So far I've had my Toyo Proxes 4 on my X for almost 2 years now with no problems and shear enjoyment. I have the stock Goodyears in the basement since that time. I want to get some more use out of them this winter. They've been stored on the original wheels at nomal compression for the last 2 years. Should I be concerned with anything safety wise if I switch them out?

I don't think there will be a problem at all since you stored them in the basement. I have used wheels + tires that have sat that long without problems.

If you stored them laying down (vs sitting on the treads) they should be OK but you'll probably want to get them rebalanced. If they've been sitting on their treads (like they'd normally be oriented on the car) for that long they may have flat spots that are now permanent. That's something that the tire shop would be able to identify though.

Check them for cracks and any signs of wear. If they are good, check the pressure and put them on.

X, if there are any flatspots, just dial up the boost and do a 100 foot long 4 wheel drive burnout. That'll round thing out!

+1.....cracking on the sidewall and treads is a good indication of how good the tires are.
They should be ok having been stored in the basement out of sun and weather.
