As i was walking out of the sub shop this girl told me somebody hit my car I'm thinking they railed the [censored] out of it...

turns out the guy managed to just barely scrape the paint by the right rear wheel, and I saw no visible dents. I just took my thumb and rubbed what little paint off with no problem, but there's still a little red paint left....

The guy gave me his business card etc.

I'm wondering tommorow when i try to see if i can get all the paint off if any is left how much it would cost for a paint shop to fix it up? It's not a huge gash or anything, smaller than your pinky finger.... really small.

 

Try using a "Fine" Rubbing Compound or Paint Cleaner. Actually toothpaste works pretty good too.[img]/w3timages/icons/smile.gif[/img]

Use a soft rag and rub lightly.

 

Over the years I have found if it's a small thing like this sounds, it's better to just leave it alone, sometimes the "fix" can look worse, if not now, down the road! My last car, a '00 Mustang GT, had a small mark on the front bumper where some idiot backed up into me at a stop sign, I checked around to see what it would be to fix it, all said they had to repaint the entire bumper [img]/w3timages/icons/shocked.gif[/img] and decided not to bother, it became less noticable shortly after that!

I used some Gel Gloss stuff from my work that we use on golf carts to take off all the scuff marks etc.

It took off all the paint from the other car really good, all that's left is 2 small chips where there's no paint, just grey under paint stuff......

Its hardly noticeable, but I'd like to get it fixed. Maybe a little carefully applied touch up paint could help.
