2004 valuation possible "demo"
2004 valuation possible "demo"
How much would you discount a "demo car"?
Considering a 2004 6MT, premium package, Bose, 30K miles, new tires, good to excellent condition from private seller. Asking 24K, I offered 21K. Seller claims he is original owner, travels during week and most miles on weekend. All maintainance from original dealer.
Carfax dates show on the lot 04/2004, sold 02/2005. 30K is alot of miles for a weekend driver during 1 year 9 months. The miles on first oil change record will answer alot of questions. If the car was a demo, would you purchase? At what discount? Thank you.

While looking at 2006s last weekend, I was offered a "managers car" (read demo., loaner, parts shuttle) at unspecified discount. The pitch was as a untitled car, I could claim "original owner" status on a used car w/ 8-10K miles While not a deal breaker, uncertain use during break in period may change my offer. Thanks again.
