sun roof rattle

a few weeks ago i was closeing the sunroof from being completely open and i heard a snap, but everything still functioned fine. now when using the tilt there is a rattle going on somewhere i cant locate. and when i have the roof all the way back i can here something bouncing up and down. this might be the same rattle i hear when i use the tilt. has anyone experienced this problem before.

I had something similar. It is hard to explain what I did, but there are plastic pieces that cover the mechanics of the sunroof. They are about .5" wide by 10" long. They snap on to the sunroof sides. I pulled them off, lubed up the attatchment points, then put them back on and the noise stopped. I bet one of yours popped off.

My sunroof squeaked when it was closed. The dealer replaced the whole thing under warranty! No more squeak.
