Offset and tires question

I am wondering if there is anyone running the following or anything similar:

245 tire on a 8" rim in the front with a +30mm offset?
will this rub?

what size are you gonna run?? i assume 20"?
If they are 20s, they will not rub if you don't lower it, I know someone with 20x8 with a +30mm offset on his new TL and it doesn't rub, and TL's oem offset is just a tad higher than our G's...

but I would get at least a +35mm offset and 20x8.5 with 245/35/20...good luck

if it's not lower it won't rub untill u go over a bump or have 2 passengers in the back. If u shave/roll fenders it won't rub even if u lower it.

i had coupe 18's with a 245/40 on the rear and they didnt rub at all. The 245/45's rubbed with 2 people in the back. I was lowered an inch on Z springs.

I have 18x8 rims with +38 offset and 245-45-18 tires with no rubbing, but it gets close when under a load in the back. I think +30 will push it too far and cause rubbing.

It will rub without negative chamber.

It will rub on the front if you are turning and hit even a small bump. (assuming 20")

I have a 04 g35 sedan, looking to put 20's. Can you suggest a Rim width, Offset and tire size, to minimize rubbing

20x8.5 ~+40 Front and
20x9.5 ~+45 Rear is a great combo.

You can go lower offset and wider but you may need to roll your fenders. I have 20x10 +40 on my rears with rolled fenders and they clear but you could not go 1mm lower offset.

^^Thats a great setup for the sedans...I personally like the front a little lower offset like +35~38mm but i didn't get such an aggressive drop as some other guys...

Yeah 35-38 on the front should be good too but it depends on your drop. I rub with +40 on the front when I have my wheels turned and hit a bump. But I also have a 1.3" front drop.

I have 20x8.5, +38, 245/35 all around....and don't rub on the front. I'm only lowered 1" on the front and 3/4" in the back though...

So, for me, a +38 worked great.

QUick QUestion - 18 vs 19 - anyone experinced both and can speak to issues with road noise? I drove a coupe with 19" and the road noise was worse than any exhaust drone could ever be -

Gdup35 - any issues with your set-up??

Road noise is more of a tire thing. It will depend on the size and the brand/model of tire.
