Leak in trunk

I bought my car over three months ago with the extended warrantee for up to 100k miles. Everytime it rains, I see water in my trunk. Not exactly sure how it's getting there but it looks like it coming from the upper roof of the trunk. Do anyone know if my warrantee covers this? Also, I have seen threads about the radio, but no answers, so I'll ask again. Can the '05 stereo with MP3 playback fit my '04. I hate listening to the radio so I rely on CDs for music, but after having an MP3 player in last car, I basically don't have regular CDs, nor do I want to go back to regular CDs.

If your G is under warranty and the trunk leaks, it is covered and they should fix it.

Yeah it should cover a leak unless you did something to cause it. Either way take it in and let them figure it out.

Do you have an aftermarket spoiler? That could be the cause if it wasnt sealed.

Thanks guys...I did take it in and they patched it up. Supposedly it was due to XM radio wire that's at the bottom of the rear window. Free of charge.

Not sure if you're describing the same thing. But on the underside of the trunk lid there are two tabs to pull on for if you get kidnapped. The big floresent one that glows in the dark, and a smaller tab that is held in place with velco. On my car the tiny tab kept coming loose from the velcro and at times it would get caught between the weather stripping to the trunk. I went through a car wash once when it was stuck between the weather stripping and had some water come into the trunk. I ended up tucking the tab and wire underneath the felt and never had it happen again.

Same thing here with the sat radio wire...the front seal is usually the one that has the most water pressure on it and thats where mine drips a little

Yah, that was exactly what the dude at the dealership was saying could have been the issue; the velcro trunk release tab. It wasn't. It was the What radio wire. Thank God for my Warranty. I also found out that it's up to 62k miles instead of the 50k, I was originally told by the Crooks at Planet AutoMall. Ohh, the driver wiper arm is not as good as the Passenger. I just added new ones, same problem. So I think it might take it in or can I do this myself? Thanks.
