Has anyone heard of modifying the LED tail lights to produce a pattern of lights? I just look at the rows of lights and think there is an opportunity to spell out a message or show a shape.

 

I haven't heard or seen anything of that nature. I think it would require all new tail light fixtures as well.. might get a little pricy.

I am sure some electronics whizz can come up with a board that would make the tailights light up in a wave pattern. The problem I see is that your messing with a safety feature. This could be a huge potential hazard if your circuty failed and they didn't work.

Now what I need is a zig zagging led light in the wing so that my G would look like KITT from knight rider. I could also blast some david hasselhoff tunes from the stereo

Hmm... pattern of light .... I could show the middle finger for those tail gaters. Sound like a good idea.
