Good question.

We currently have what I prefer as a "beater" car. It's a 1996 Lexus ES300. Basically, we use it on long trips, poor weather, etc. We've recently found a good deal on this G35 and so we're looking for this car to replace the Lexus.

I've always wanted a G35 coupe, so I believe this will give me a good idea what a G35 is capable of. When I do get the coupe, however, it will be a 6-Speed.

I'm addicted to modding ever since I owned my 1997 Talon TSi AWD. So I believe I cant help myself with new cars, a/t or m/t.

Cato, thanks for the warning. I'll be sure to checks those out. Have people prefer to replace the entire system, rather than just replacing?

<< Ownes a 03' 5AT G35.

Brakes blow chunks. If they are stock (which they probably are) they will squeek the day after getting new rotors and pads. I think its the biggest downfall of the G35. They didn't completely fix the problem until like 06'.

Other than that these cars rock. They are quick as hell. 6MT in a couple would be better, but even the sedans are a blast to drive.

Congrats on the new ride. What color did you pick? You should of gotten the coupe instead. I love the intoxicating sound of the coupe. I just wish the sedan was the same.

The coupe is for later. I'll be going to China for a year coming up in about 6 months, so I want to get a coupe when I can enjoy it. This car was merely to replace an ageing lexus es300 (1996) and it's a "family" car -- thus the four doors. It's white.

Yes, I drove it. I liked the power and the *sportyness* compared to the lexus. I think after driving this for a couple of months, it'll give me a good idea what the coupe is capable of -- Plus it has all the bells and whistles (besides the nav).

Electric fan conversion? What?

I think I'm going to stay away from the engine. Maybe I'll get an an air filter/z-tube, but I think the Z suspension is a must. How much time does it take to install suspension? I've never done it. Would it be worth while just taking it to a shop?
