Anybody know your handling lateral G? Post Here!
I have a G-timer. It's fun to watch the G force readings at cornering & High Way on ramp turn.
I like to go through turns farelly agressively. Tipically register 0.5 to 0.65 G
while hard cornering & register as hight as 0.7 G go through highway ramp. I thought that was pretty good g where my car stay glued to the ground with confidence.
While, Today I did a home-made lateral G test, I was doing small circles in the parking lot & goes fater & faster until rear tire goes got squeeking. I registered a Max of 0.85 lateral G.
0.85G is the same as 07 G35 Spec. However, I am still supried to realize that
getting 0.7G on the on Highway ramp, I am be closer to the handling edge than I thought.
I think if I am doing bigger circles, where front/back wheel are more striaight, I will get higher lateral G. I am running 225/45 18, Toyo Proxi 4 all season.
Anybody knows your Lateral G?
Please post your set-up & method of measuring them. It's good to know how close your are pushing towards the cars handling limit.
