Annoyed after a bad month

Well im sorry but im just too worn out to search for an answer.

I just got back from India - went for two weeks cuz my dad who has been in hospital since sept passed away. I left my two month old g35 sedan 06 at my uncles office and came back today and drove it home.

I know he hasnt driven the car anywhere and only started it a couple of times and moved it to prevent flat spots. On the way home, i noticed a dub dub dub noise when braking. You can usually hear this kinda noise if you had a flat tire.

But I had no flat tires as I checked twice. The noise kinda quitened after driving for 20 mins but its still there. Could this be because the car wasnt driven for 12 days much (prob 1 km only)?

I had the car serviced for 5000 kms a few days before i left for india (serviced on 13 nov and left for india on 17 nov). The noise was not there when i left.

Sorry to be a bother but im planning on taking the car to the dealer tomorrow evening to check it out.

Sorry to hear about your father.

As for the tires, I doubt there is anything significantly wrong. Many tires, especially higher performance tires, have a tendency to flat spot if the car hasn't been moved in a while. Some high performance tires will flat spot overnight if it's cold out. The thicker sidewalls, numerous radial plys, and grades of rubber tend to cause the flat spotting. The flat spotting should go away after the tire is adequately warmed up. That can take anywhere from 5 to 20 minutes depending on tire, speed, ambient temp, and distance.

Yeah, it's not uncommon for this to happen for the first few miles on a car that hasn't been driven in a while. I've actually had this happen on my old S2000 on a regular basis in the colder winter months if it was parked for just a day or two, but it'd go away after just a mile or two as well...

If you look at winter storage tips there's a lot of good information out there on how to prevent this. The S2000 crowd deals with this a lot as many of the members park their cars all winter when the weather gets bad. Adding a few extra psi to the tires, parking on foam/carpet, etc... seem to be common remedies, though everyone seems to have a little different twist on things.
